The UBMC would not function without its wonderful volunteers! We rely on the help of volunteers to organize, plan, and run the conference and its annual meetings and contest.

If you're interested in volunteering with UBMC, please fill out the form below. For your help as a volunteer, you receive a FREE pass to the annual symposium or conference.

Areas where we need your help:

  • Activities: planning/helping with any activity associated with the symposium/conference, e.g., raffle, door prizes

  • Audio/Visual: ensuring we have the audio/visual equipment necessary for presentations, helping with any audio/visual glitches during symposia/conferences

  • Contests: helping run or judge contests associated with the symposium/conference, e.g., UBMC Book Cover Contest

  • Equipment & Supplies: ensuring we have all the necessary equipment and supplies for the symposium/conference, e.g., name tags, cash box, pens, paper, etc.

  • Food & Drink: organizing catering services or other food & drink needs

  • Marketing/Publicity/Advertising: helping market, publicize, and advertise the symposium/ conference, associated contests, registration opening and closing, through word of mouth, social media, signage, or other means

  • Presentations: helping solicit presentations, communicating with possible presenters about presenting at the symposium/conference, organizing the presentations schedule

  • Registration: helping setup online registration for the symposium/conference, helping to check in registrants on the day(s) of the symposium/conference

  • Setup/Take Down: helping with setup and take down on the day(s) of the symposium/ conference

  • Symposium/Conference planning: helping organize the when and where of the symposium/conference, helping organize the other committees 

  • Vendors & Sponsors: helping solicit vendors and sponsors, setting up the special event tax information with the Utah Tax Commission

  • Venues: helping to decide on the venue for the symposium/conference, coordinating with venue personnel to set up the symposium/conference

  • Volunteers: helping organize volunteers for the symposium/conference, ensuring volunteers carry out their assigned duties during the symposium/conference
